About

Our hearts go out to those affected by the catastrophic wildfires on Maui. We stand with the people of Maui and kindly ask that you directly donate to the Hawaii Community Association – Maui Strong Fund.

In response to the devastating wildfires on Maui, the Hawaii Community Foundation has activated the Maui Strong Fund to provide flexible resources to support Maui residents. Funding will address evolving needs, including shelter, food, financial assistance and other services as they are identified by on-the-ground partners doing critical work on Maui. HCF will not be collecting a fee for donations to the Maui Strong Fund; 100 percent of the funds will be distributed for community needs.

Honolulu based event promoter, Concert King LLC, has had this date circled on the schedule for years. Owner Brenden Clement, an avid Duck sports fan and football season ticket holder, was born in Hawaii and raised in both Eugene and Honolulu is helping to promote this unique trifecta of world-class live-music-n-sports weekend in Eugene, Oregon, September 15-17, as Leihoku Fest Eugene.

In Hawaiian, “leihoku” means “lei of a thousand stars” and represents how the people work together to strive in pursuit of high aspirations. Leihoku was chosen for the festival name to recognize the spirit of ‘ohana and the Polynesian voyagers who, in ancient times, ingeniously navigated thousands of miles over the Pacific Ocean by using a “lei of a stars” in the sky to guide them.

This September, Leihoku Fest Eugene symbolizes the thousands of miles athletes, entertainers, fans, and supporting instutions will navigate to Eugene, as voyagers and ‘ohana (extended family) in a spirit of lokahi (to be of one mind, bring about unity, make peace) to celebrate at the Cuthbert Amphitheater, in Autzen Stadium, and at historic Hayward Field in TrackTownUSA … as global citizens.

We look forward to hosting you at this great weekend of events!
